From Immenstadt with love part 6

From Immenstadt with love part 6

If today you are feeling down or condemned or a failure in one area or another, allow me to share a few of these verses just to encourage your soul.

Two names are given for Jesus in Mathew chapter one. One was given to Joseph when the angel Gabriel came to Joseph and the other was quoted as the fulfillment of a prophesy.

  • (Matthew 1:21) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. {JESUS: that is, Saviour, Heb} (KJV)

  • (Matthew 1:23) “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (NKJV)

How awesome to know Jesus saved us from all our sins before we came to Jesus, all our sins after we came to Jesus and all the sins that we inherited from our parents. David in psalms 103 reminded his soul not to forget all the benefits of salvation saying;

(Psalms 103:2-3) Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, (NKJV)

Paul told the Romans not to live in condemnation and we should remind ourselves of this as well;

(Romans 8:1) There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (NKJV)

(Romans 8:33-34) Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (NKJV)

John had this to say;

(1 John 2:1-2) My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (NKJV)

Jesus has paid full price for all the enemy can point a finger against you. Does that mean then that we can live carelessly in sin? No, but Jesus has paid all for you and me so that now it is only an issue between us and Him but not an issue between us and our enemies. He can now freely say to you and me;

“Go and sin no more”

“Be holy because I am holy”.

Allow me to say a little bit about the second title; Immanuel “God with us”

Naaman had leprosy, Abraham had no son, Hanna had no son, Joseph was a slave and in Jail. All God’s servants had situation but God always came through for them. And He will come through for you too!

(1 Corinthians 10:13) No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (NKJV)

When Naaman went to prophet Elisha and obeyed God’s voice, he was healed of all his leprosy.

Abraham had this to say;

(Genesis 15:3-4) Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”

And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” (NKJV)

Hanna not only got a son but five other children!

(1 Samuel 2:19-21) Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, “The LORD give you descendants from this woman for the loan that was given to the LORD.” Then they would go to their own home. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the LORD. (NKJV)

Jesus is not only our savior. He is also Immanuel, God with us. Nobody has all he needs. Arguably some are in very pressing situations and the Lord knows this. But you have Jesus through His Holy Spirit there next to you. The situation you are in has been sanctioned or allowed by God for a reason. That you may turn to Him for help and as He does this, then you will know Him better and give Glory to Him.

(Jeremiah 29:11-13) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

(Luke 1:36-37) “Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (NKJV)

Seek God with all your heart, He will come through for you as He is doing for us all. Before He comes ask Him for enough grace and He will give it to you.

God be with you.
