The battle for your heart.
The Lord has given me three prophetic words recently that point clearly to what season you and I are living in and what He wants to do.
The first is in 2nd Kings 2:19-21
(2 Kings 2:19-21) Then the men of the city said to Elisha, „Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.“ And he said, „Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.“ So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, „Thus says the LORD: ‚I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.'“ (NKJV)
Here we see a picture of a person represented by a city. Everything about this city as seen from the outside is wonderful. But there is unfruitfulness and bareness in this it’s life which comes from the source of the water.
(Proverbs 4:23) Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. (NKJV)
Clearly God is talking of our hearts whose condition is the very reason for the unfruitfulness and the bareness in our lives. But then the word of God has enough salt which we need to apply to our hearts. Yes you were abused when you were young or you had a broken relationships or even had a problem somewhere in your life. But it is now time to open your heart, forgive all, let the Holy Spirit wash you that you can go forward. Jesus has paid for your freedom.
The second word God has given me is in 1st Kings 18: 30-38
(1 Kings 18:30-38) Then Elijah said to all the people, „Come near to me.“ So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, „Israel shall be your name.“ Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, „Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.“ Then he said, „Do it a second time,“ and they did it a second time; and he said, „Do it a third time,“ and they did it a third time. So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water. And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, „LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. „Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.“ Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. (NKJV)
After three and half years of severe drought Elijah knew how tomake it rain again in Israel. It was really simple; discern God’s timing, repair the Altar and call to God by faith.
I am sure this is God’s season to visit His people. Only you can repair your altar ( If your body is God’s Temple then of course your heart is the Altar). Then You just as like Elijah did, should call on God in Faith. At first the clouds may not be visible but hold on until the answer comes.
(1 Kings 18:41-45) Then Elijah said to Ahab, „Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.“ So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, „Go up now, look toward the sea.“ So he went up and looked, and said, „There is nothing.“ And seven times he said, „Go again.“ Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, „There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!“ So he said, „Go up, say to Ahab, ‚Prepare your chariot , and go down before the rain stops you.'“ Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. (NKJV).
The third picture has been a follow up of the two;
(Genesis 24:1-10) Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, „Please, put your hand under my thigh, „and I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell; „but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.“ And the servant said to him, „Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I take your son back to the land from which you came?“ But Abraham said to him, „Beware that you do not take my son back there. „The LORD God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, ‚To your descendants I give this land,‘ He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there. „And if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be released from this oath; only do not take my son back there.“ So the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter. Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed, for all his master’s goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor. (NKJV)
It was Isaac’s Father who noticed that it was time for Isaac to get a wife. God is your Father and He thinks it is time for you to move to the next step of your life. Notice that all that belongs to the master (God) has been availed to you just as all that belonged to Abraham was availed to the servant. Notice also however that your miracle will not come from the world but from the family of God. It will be divine.
The last week or so has been a difficult one for me. I have heard so many negative thoughts against the very people God has given me to live with, or to support me or to work with me. This has led me to conclude two things; first that there is a desperate devil out there who wants to frustrate God’s plan for you and me this critical hour. There are two ways he can do this; defile our hearts with bitterness or sin or unforgiveness etc or cause us not to have faith in God.
Secondly, that there is a demonic spirit of misunderstanding hanging in the air that we must pray against. We must not just look at things from the outside, we need to walk in discernment.
(1 Samuel 16:7) But the LORD said to Samuel, „Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.“ (NKJV)
My humble request to you this week is that you seek to discipline your thoughts if possible with the Scriptures here below.
(Philippians 4:8-9) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. (NKJV
(1 Corinthians 13:4-7) Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (NKJV)
Remember that your God will come into your situation no matter how long He seems to take. If it were not so HE WOULD TELL YOU! ( John 14:2)
Let us keep praying for each other.
