From Immenstadt with Love part 3- Whatever He says to you, do it! the Miracle is in His voice

From Immenstadt with Love part 3- Whatever He says to you, do it! the Miracle is in His voice

(John 9:7) And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

(NKJV) (John 2:5-10) His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” (NKJV)

(John 11:39-40) Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (NKJV)

Mary His mother had lived long enough with Jesus to summarize it all for us. The miracle you and me are looking for is all in the voice of Jesus. Mary could have told those in the wedding to beg or kneel or to do hundred other things. In fact she herself had told Jesus that there was a problem but that had not brought an answer. But she told them the one thing that never fails. Listen to what He says and do it.

It has taken me many years to realize that our God is different from Baal. We do not need to cut ourselves or shout loudly or even convince God before He can answer us. He is a loving Father.

(Psalms 84:11-12) For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You! (NKJV)

You may need a financial miracle but there is a seed you need to plant and you may need to hear from the Holy Spirit what seed is the right one, and where to plant it before God can do what you want. You may  want to be healed but behold, your heart is always ranging against others or you have not forgiven someone or there may be  those who you need to ask for forgiveness from, before you can experience God’s hand. Many of us love Jesus but often we bring curses on ourselves by not honoring God with our giving and our tithe (Malachi 3:8-9). We may need to address this before God shows up. Of course there are times that we come too early and God needs to prepare us for the miracle we want and  we need to hear that voice of the Holy Spirit saying, “wait a little!”. Like Paul we may also need to hear God say to us that in our situation He will just avail more grace. Whatever the case we need to hear the voice of our loving Father and then whatever He says, we should do it. That is the recipe for a Miracle from God.

Often our needs are God’s way of saying, “I need your attention!” As we listen and do, the need is met.

The disciples may have thought that what they needed was more faith. Jesus however put it clearly to them that, It is not more faith that they needed. It was the right faith. The faith that comes from hearing God’s voice.

(Luke 17:5-6) And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. (NKJV)

Brother Andrew (God’s Smuggler), gives testimonies of how they used to smuggle Bibles into closed communist countries. It was really simple. They would gather together for a week or so and wait for God in prayer until God would speak to them and/or receive a strategy from God. This never failed.

You are crying to God for your need. God is also crying for His need. His people who  my neighbors and mine are dying without Christ and nobody is listening to Him. Missionaries are crying and even dying and God is seeking someone who will hear and pray for them. Someone is hungry and God is looking for someone to feed them. Who will hear the cry of God’s heart. That person has a future.

Hanna had a need. God had a need. Both needed a son and they found one in Samuel.

Seek to meet God’s need and you will have a testimony in waiting!

Remain in His Love.
